Wind generators

Wind energy, i.e. the energy produced by exploiting the movement of air, is converted into electricity using wind turbines. The electricity produced is either fed directly to the grid or stored in accumulators.

The main types of wind turbines that depend on the position of the shaft are two:

• Horizontal axis
• Vertical axis
